A few weeks ago, Airline Geeks hosted an event where Avgeeks like me had a chance to see the new TWA Lounge in One World Trade Center... on the 86 floor.... I was something I didn't want to miss. Heading into the lounge, it takes you back to the golden age of aviation. Every last detail of this lounge screamed the early 60's.
The lounge was beautiful, however, the weather didn't cooperate and was overcast so I didn't have the fantastic views of Manhattan. This lounge is for the new TWA hotel that's opening in terminal 5 at JFK next year. They even had a terminal 5 model on display!
Even though the weather didn't hold up, that didn't stop Airline Geeks from hosting a fantastic event. I had a chance to catch up with them and talk all things aviation. It's always exciting when you can drop the acronym, MOM in a conversation and people actually know what you're talking about!! ;) All in all, the lounge transports you back to the golden age of aviation and will delight anyone that loves, not only aviation, but also the early 60's. Huge kudos to Airline Geeks for making this event possible!
Have you ever been to the TWA Lounge? if so, what was your experience like?
